The indoor track and field team had its state qualifier on Thursday 1/6.  Both Ladies and Guys teams had a wonderful meet and will advance numerous kids to the state meet.  The top 4 athletes per event qualified for the state meet; you can also advance if you hit a certain time, height or distance standard. RM Athletes partipating in the Maryland State Championship Meet will do that on Tuesday 2/18 at the Prince Georges Sports Complex. Meet starts at 4.

On the ladies junior Charlotte Turesson finished 1st in both the 1600m and the 3200m.

The team of Caia Gelli, Diamond Alexander, Arabella Eismann and Ayokami Akala finished 1st in the 4x200m relay.  Caia Gelli finished 1st in the 300m.

In the girls 55m dash Diamond Alexander, Caia Gelli and Ayokami Akala finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th.  Freshman Meghan Geary finished 5th in the 1600 and will advance to the state meet on time.

To finish out the evening Caia Gelli, Diamond Alexander, sophomore Sierra Stubbs and freshman Cate Christopher finished 2nd in the 4x400m relay.

The team of Aidan Goldenburg Hart, Seydi Sall, Noah Turner and Elias Applebaum teamed up to win the 4x800m relay. 

Avery Arizpe and Seydi Sall finished 1st and 2nd in the 500m respectively.

Goldenburg Hart and Applebaum finished 1st and 3rd in the 1600m and later in the evening Goldenberg-Hart finished 1st in the 800m.

Junior Leroy Neal placed 1st in the High Jump with a clearance of 6-2.

Sophomore Lucas Corea finished 8th in the 3200 and will advance off of time.

To close out the evening Turner, Arizpe, and Goldenburg-Hart and sophomore Jonah Petty teamed up to place 2nd in the 4x400m relay.
